Tungsten elevates protection and comfort in work gloves

With tungsten integrated into the composition, a new fiber technology is being introduced under the NXG brand — pushing the boundaries of what protection and comfort a work glove can deliver.

Instead of traditional steel fibers, tungsten is used in the fiber composition. Tungsten is significantly stronger than steel, while also being both lighter and softer. This makes it possible to make gloves with the highest level of cut resistance according to the EU standard EN388, while remaining extremely thin and flexible.

This combination not only improves comfort during prolonged use, but also enhances ergonomics and reduces hand fatigue. The softer fiber structure allows for more natural hand movement and a higher level of tactile sensitivity than previously possible in gloves with very high cut protection.

With this material technology, NXG demonstrates how advanced research can be translated into practical products that strengthen both safety and user experience in demanding work environments. Soft Touch offers cut-resistant gloves with tungsten that are already in stock and available to resellers and retailers for industrial protection (HV-C-9135).

With NXG, Soft Touch AB and Hanvo are taking a joint step toward the future of protective gloves, where advanced technology meets the practical needs of professional working environments.

The first new NXG gloves are available from the Soft Touch warehouse for distributors of personal protective equipment and industrial supplies. For more information, visit www.softtouch.se or contact Magnus Gustafsson.
