Working with gloves all day can be a major a strain on the skin. The polyurethane coating on traditionally manufactured gloves can also be found on the inside of the gloves, which results in fast generation of heat and sweating. These gloves are manufactured with a micro-foam technique that is 100% waterbased, silicone-free and entirely free from solvents. The slightly perforated coating allows the skin to breathe and all sweat is quickly absorbed despite the fact that the material is both water and oil proof. In addition our "stretch-to-fit" design makes the gloves extremely elastic, resulting in a perfect fit.

Can you feel it in your fingers? We have consulted with construction workers and mechanics to produce a completely new kind of glove, specifically adapted for working conditions that require durability and fine motor ability – simultaneously. We do not need to mention that these gloves have an exceptional fit.

All single-ply gloves are woven by computer aided weaving machines that use a single thread for the entire glove. But the most important thing is of course fit. On these pages you will find gloves that have been approved by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (SP) for the discharge of static electricity and which have been specifically adapted for delicate assembly work within, for example, telephony. There are also cut-proof gloves, also tested andapproved. And then there are the non-classified dust-free gloves.

The Amara winter collection is made from a revolutionary new material – a breathable synthetic leather. The pores keep the moisture out while releasing excess moisture. The slim Schanker lining makes it suitable for precision assembly work in colder environments. All models are chrome-free and therefore recommended for people that are allergic to chrome.

In the Navy series there are a number of classics; sturdy assembly gloves that companies purchase year after year. The material is a durable goatskin. Velcro, protective cuffs and fleece lining are just a few of the practical details.

Sheepskin or goatskin? That is the question. In our khaki-sand series you will find both. And you will feel the quality immediately. The most important quality that both of these materials have is dexterity. The goatskin is however somewhat more durable and better against moisture than the sheepskin. Leather work gloves are often essential. And in our wide range of Soft Touch gloves you will find everything you need. For example, the bestselling Nord and Classic series – fully and partially lined gloves with the right grip and durability. Among these special gloves, you will notice the Traffic glove with 3M reflector tape and the Truck glove in unlined goatskin.

Our range of ProTec work gloves feels lightweight due to the material on the back of the hand. The material and double seams are extra strong, to endure the rough stuff. All models are designed to last a long time. Many other gloves give at the seams, particularly at the index finger. In addition all models have an inbuilt elastic band, which helps prevent unnecessary injuries. The material on the back of the hand is specially procured, allowing us to supervise the entire production process. We can therefore guarantee that each ProTec work glove is of a much more even and high quality than a standard work glove.

What function should your gloves have? Bear in mind that material is very important! The cowhide glove – extra strong, durable and water-resistant. The pigskin glove – flexible and breathable, thanks to its porous surface. The furniture hide glove – durable and cheap, as it is manufactured from leftover leather. Colour can however vary. A glove with the grain side outward is hardwearing and water-resistant. A glove with the split side outward is heat-resistant up to approx. 100°C and provides a good grip, but is not particularly water-resistant.

How do you see your work? When visibility is essential, you must choose a glove with the right characteristics for your particular needs. Apart from the fact that all of these gloves are flourescent, they also have specific qualities, such as being winter-lined, semi-lined or fully lined. Our signal glove is made from durable grain cowhide leather with 3M reflectors. Assembly gloves are available in two styles depending on the weather; semi-lined or winterlined and our knitted flourescent gloves have PVC mini-dots on the inner hand.

Can you handle the pressure? Sparks fly from all directions, which is why it’s not just your hands that you should be protecting. Our range of protective leather welding clothing is of a very high standard and all seams are sewn with kevlar thread.

Cotton is perhaps the most comfortable material you can have next to your skin. Cotton breathes well, does not cause any static electricity and is comfortable to wear. By tailor-making cotton gloves for every situation, we are able to provide the best protection and fit. For those of you that appreciate a comfortable inner glove inside a larger glove, we recommend a pair of knitted cotton gloves.

Do you have high demands of gloves that are durable and protective against cuts, abrasions and rips? Then our nitrile-coated gloves are the right choice. Soft Touch Grip and Contact are specially designed for medium to heavy industrial work. For the really tough jobs, you should choose Grip, whereas Contact is more suited to work requiring dexterity. One major advantage with nitrile gloves is that they rarely cause allergic reactions. In addition they are shape-resistant and mashine washable.

If you require high durability, comfort and fit, we recommend a pair of sewn nitrile gloves. Dynamic is best suited to environments such as roadworks and construction sites. The elastic sits perfectly on the hand, thanks to the elasticated back and is perfect for assembly work. For the colder months we have two models with a winterlining. Worknit is a legendary glove with a long lifespan and a great fit to complement our range.

The gloves on this page have been specially designed for those of you that work offshore or with fish or santiation. But they are also suitable for refineries, the chemical industry and in mines. Ruff Fisherman (the red glove) is the favourite of most fishermen. They value the fit and the grip-friendly coating (fish grip), which provides a great grip on damp equipment and slippery fish. Ruff Resistent (the black glove) is suitable for work with oil, degreasing agents and other chemical products. These gloves are available with a smooth interior or a rough coating.

North’s range of chemical resistant garments are manufactured using double coated Ferranyl with ultrasonic welded seams. Using materials such as butyl, Viton and 4H for their full suits, hoods, masks and gloves, they provide total protection against most industrial chemicals and gases. There are a number of different types of synthetic glove. And different gloves protect you from different substances. A lot of people prefer natural materials, but there are a number of situations where synthetic gloves are the obvious choice. The material chosen should reflect the substances the glove is going to come into contact with. Nitrile rubber is a synthetic alternative to natural rubber. It is durable and resistant to sharp objects. It is also perfect for people with glove allergies. Latex gloves are made from natural rubber and are produced mainly in Malaysia. The gloves are comfortable to wear, but can cause allergic reactions. Vinyl gloves are made from PVC. In such a slim design they are primarily suitable for protecting from water, oil and grease. Neoprene gloves are durable and resistant to such things as ketones and organic solvents.

Soft Touch Rigg is a series of gloves that withstand everything from oil-covered machinery to grease and corrosive acids. The PVC coating makes them extremely durable and they remain soft in cold weather. It has proven difficult to find more environmentally-friendly material with these qualities, be we are continuously testing new sythetic materials that enter the market.

Every job requires a special lining. Make the right choice! A glove with GORE-TEX membrane effectively protects against the wet, retains heat and provides the highest level of comfort. The GORE-TEX membrane is sewn into the glove between the glove’s lining and outer shell. Thinsulate lining insulates extremely well. The lining consists of microfibres, making the gloves extremely flexible. Teddy lining is warm and comfortable, but not particularly suitable for precision work. if you want a slimmer, more flexible winter glove, you should choose a glove with a fleece or Schanker lining.
